Rally in New York: Ban Ki-moon UN Secretary-General is Aware of the Crimes Against Humanity in Ethiopia

Ethiopians Rally in New York: Demanding UN investigate Ethnic Cleansing
(NEW YORK) – The Monday April 29, 2013 cloudy sky with drizzle seems to remind the largest Ethiopian crowd in recent memory here in NYC the darkest time of our people under the minority regime of TPLF/Woyane. The cry of Amharas in Beni Shanguel Gumuz, Gura Ferda, Waldiba who were ethnically cleansed and dumped as landless and homeless by cruel and inhuman TPLF/Woyane thugs carrying the ID of “Nations and Nationalities” is indeed the turning point in our struggle.
It reminded us how it is uncomfortable just to stay few hours out in a rain knowing that it will be over and each one of us will go to our home in D.C., Maryland, Buffalo, Philadelphia, NJ and to all boroughs of New York City. We stood tall to be the voice of poor farmers and monks and challenge UN to condemn the Ethnic Cleansing underway in Ethiopia. We stared at the UN building where Tewodros Adhanom lectured just last week about TPLF/Woyane’s role on Somalia “security”. We call it “Kiraye Sebsaba Politica” or blackmailing politics.

TPLF Generals involved in illegal Tantalum trade

ESAT News
The discovery of 2500Ton of pure Tantalum in the Shakiso and Ansora Woredas, Guji Zone, Oromia Region few years ago by a governmental organization called Kentica Borena Ethiopia Mines Development Share Company, had attracted the attention of many media houses then.
The export of this strategic and expensive mineral had been suspended after experts of the field unstintingly complained to the late Prime Minister Meles Zenawi saying that the export by this Company was hurting the Country.
The government had then said the reason for putting the restriction was to establish a new mechanism of handling the mineral as the radioactive rays found in the Uranium have health risks and also to gain better profit by developing the mineral in a modern way. It was also mentioned then that the restriction would be in place until the government builds its own Tantalum Refining Plant.

TPLF is planning another event in Norway Oslo on April 28, 2013

Free reflections observations, opinions, of Poletical view in Ethiopia.
Eden Abera Ayalew
TPLF is planning again to have fundraising event in Norway Oslo on April 28,2013 by denying the voice of people for justice.
As we all know on April 20,2013 TPLF send two representatives from the Ethiopian Embassy in Stockholm with the agenda of Nile dam fundraising program in Stavanger, Norway and close to 300 Ethiopians in Norway has present in the meeting and brought their question of Justice, freedom and Human Rights but the representatives who has been in the place came up with their own agenda and ignored the mass voice as TPLF usually does. Because of this reason the Ethiopians get angry and shout justice and Freedom before Nile dam and express their opposition clearlly they will not cooprate with TPLF’s agenda before their question for justice has been answered ,so that the Norwegian Polices stopped the program before things are getting worse. And these has been on the Norwegian Aftenbladt News at the same day.
TPLF is planning again to have fundraising event in Norway Oslo on April 28, 2013
After these on wensday 24 ,April 2013 on Ethiopian Radio And Television Agency has been reported a vice versa lie News saying Ethiopians and foreigners of Ethiopian origin in stavanger, Norway have demonstrated their commitment to national development by purchasing government saving bonds worth million Birr support of Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam project. Additionally Ethiopian News in Sweden has reported similar News!
Today again some TPLF agents are distributing flyers which says they will have the same Fundraising event and meeting on April 28, 2013 sunday starting from 15:00 upto 00:00hrs.
And alot of Ethiopians from different areas of Norway are on the way to Oslo for 28 April and Ethiopians who live in Oslo are preparing again to demonstrate with question of Justice and freedom before Nile Dam Fundraise!
What is it gone be? will the Big Question of Freedom and Justice before Nile Dam Fundraise will make a diffrence? or the Dam will be built over Freedom and Justice?
I will come up soon with New Information soon.

The Grandiose Foundation for the Grandiose Legacy

by T.Goshu, April 2013
The mystification on “the great minded-ness and leadership” of the late Ato Meles Zenawi had been a campaign of indoctrination
Wikileaks - US Believes Meles Wants To Stay In Power Beyond 2015 Despite Public Comments To Retire
throughout his presidency, and later on his premiership.  This had been ridiculously taken out of proportion right after the official pronouncement of his death that was followed by the declaration of mourning his death and paying “unprecedented” tribute. Now, the final and the highest stage of making him “an angel –like leader” of Ethiopia, “the leading politician for Pan- Africanism” and an “international political figure” are being launched.  We have learnt this from the news and reports on the inaugural meeting held April 6, 2013. The people of Ethiopia have been showered with congratulatory news and messages about the coming into being of a historic foundation in honor of “a grandiose legacy of a great leader.”

Ethiopia transfers editor Woubshet Taye to remote prison (CPJ)

New York, April 22, 2013–The Committee to Protect Journalists protests Ethiopian authorities’ transfer of independent newspaper editor Woubshet Taye to a remote prison several hours away from his family’s home. Woubshet has been imprisoned since June 2011 on vague terrorism charges that CPJ has determined to be unsubstantiated.

“Moving detainees to prisons far from their families is a tactic long used by governments that wish to not only further penalize the individuals but to punish their loved ones as well,” said CPJ Africa Advocacy Coordinator Mohamed Keita. “Woubshet Taye should not be in prison at all, never mind held in one so far from his family. We call on Ethiopian authorities to return him to a facility closer to his home, and to reconsider the unjust conviction that put him behind bars in the first place.”
Authorities on Friday transferred Woubshet from Kilinto Prison, outside Addis Ababa, to a detention facility in the town of Ziway, about 83 miles southeast of the capital, according to local journalists and the U.S.-based exile-run AwrambaTimes.com. The authorities did not provide a reason for the transfer. Local journalists told CPJ that Woubshet’s wife and four-year-old son would now have to travel more than four hours to reach the prison to visit the journalist.
Woubshet, former deputy editor of the now-defunct independent weekly Awramba Timesand a recipient of Human Rights Watch’s Hellman/Hammett Award, was sentenced in January 2012 to a 14-year prison sentence on charges lodged under Ethiopia’s broad anti-terrorism law. The journalist was arrested a couple of weeks after he published a column inAwramba Times that critically assessed the ruling party’s performance in its two decades of rule. The paper was known for its bold coverage of local issues.
The U.N. Special Rapporteur on torture and other forms of cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, said last month that Ethiopia had violated Woubshet’s rights by failing to address his allegations of being tortured in custody, despite Ethiopia’s commitment to “uphold the highest standard of human rights.”
CPJ research shows that other states that have imprisoned journalists have used the tactic of moving journalists to prisons far from their homes as a means of punishing them and their families. Cuba, for example, placed journalists in prisons hundreds of miles from their families at the height of the Black Spring crackdown in 2003, according to CPJ research.
